Clinic Dental Policy:
The first visit for dental patients is for the purpose of establishing the patient’s current dental health. Patients are asked for a detailed health history. The first scheduled appointment includes an oral cancer screening, full mouth X-rays, dental exam, charting of missing teeth and existing conditions. A routine cleaning will follow this appointment. Subsequent appointments are scheduled to address additional dental procedures such as extractions or fillings.
All dentists providing treatment at the Clinic volunteer their time outside of their own practices. There is no dentist on-site on a daily basis; therefore, patients are scheduled in the order they are first screened for their initial appointment. All patients are informed that there is a waiting list for treatment.
Because of the overwhelming need of dental services in our community we have a very strict No-Show policy. We require a 48-hour notice for all cancellations. Failure to provide notice will result in termination of dental services.
Patients receiving medical care through the clinic will receive additional information about scheduling dental services during their initial physical examination.
